Connector Endpoint migration

New deadline: January 31, 2024

At Colect we are in the process of migrating our connector servers to a new and improved system to enhance performance, reliability, and security. This guide will help you understand the changes you need to make in your systems to ensure a seamless transition. Please follow these steps to update the hostname that points to our new connector server before 31-01-2024

1. Update the connector server hostname:

To transition to the new connector server, you'll need to replace your current connector server hostname with the new hostname “connector.colect.services”. If your current hostname was not set to “cloudconnector.apptitude.nl”, then please consult with us first.

2. Update Your Firewall Settings (if applicable):

If your organization uses firewall rules to restrict outbound connections, you may need to update your firewall settings to allow connections to the new connector server's IP address. Please consult with us if this firewall is applicable to your setup.

3. Import certificates

In some cases it is necessary to import the server certificates into the client. The server certificates can be obtained by navigating to https://connector.colect.services/ with your browser and exporting them from there. Please note that if importing server certificates is necessary for your client, you are responsible for replacing them with the new certificates after the expiration date of the old certificates.

4. Test Your Connection:

After changing the hostname, you can make a webservice call to this new connector. You can expect a response like you normally would receive.
